Loren
Certified Veterinary Technician
Loren has been a valued member of the Franklin Veterinary Clinic team since 2001. Outside of work, Loren loves cooking, spending time at the beach, and engaging in outdoor activities. Each year, she travels to Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands to take part in a low-cost spay/neuter program. When she’s at home, she enjoys unwinding with her two rescue dogs.
Casey
Client Service Representative
Casey joined the practice in 2023. A North Attleboro native, he now lives in Franklin with his family and their two dogs: Xena, a Lab-Beagle mix, and Circe, a Great Dane-St. Bernard mix. Outside of work, Casey enjoys camping, playing video games, engaging in pen-and-paper games, listening to music, and discovering new dining spots. His affection for animals stems from the joy of seeing them happy and healthy—there’s something about their loving nature that brings a smile to his face. Fun fact: Casey spent six years working at a haunted house, where he did makeup for zombies, vampires, and clowns!
Kim
Client Service Representative
Kim has been a member of The Franklin Veterinary team since April 2024. Originally from England, she moved to the area in 2021 with her husband and their two dogs, Nala and Daisy. Kim often misses a traditional roast lamb dinner but enjoys traveling and has cherished visits to Africa and China, which are among her favorite destinations.

Brittney
Client Service Representative
Brittney has been with the Franklin Veterinary Clinic team since 2020 and is going to school for nursing. In her free time, Brittney likes to bake, craft, and spend time with her 2 “lions” (cats), Norman and Millie. Fun fact, Brittney is a triplet!
Mara
Client Service Representative
Mara is a lifelong resident of Franklin and has been with the Franklin Veterinary Clinic team since 2006. She shares her home with her dog, Reese (affectionately known as Reeses Pieces), and owns a beautiful Cheval Canadien horse named Mysti. Despite her love for horror movies, she scares easily, and her favorite food is pizza. Fun fact: Mara once appeared as an extra in a Hollywood movie!
Alice
Veterinary Technician
Alice has been with the Franklin Veterinary Clinic since 2022. She studied criminal justice in Florida but her passion for animals led her to her first veterinary technician position in South Georgia. Originally from Halifax, Alice’s love for New England brought her back after living in five different states over the past decade! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and her rabbit, Benny.
Audrey
Certified Veterinary Technician/Inventory Manager
Audrey joined the Franklin Veterinary Clinic in the spring of 2021. She graduated Cum Laude from Mount Ida /UMass Amherst with a BS in veterinary technology. Audrey has experience working in canine physical therapy. Audrey loves spending time at the beach (esp. Kennebunkport, ME) and with her friends, family, and her 3 rescue cats. Fun fact, Audrey’s favorite dessert is Tiramisu.
Shannon
Certified Veterinary Technician
Shannon is a resident of Bellingham and has been with the Franklin Veterinary Clinic team part-time for many years while she was in school. Shannon graduated from Mount Ida/Becker with a degree in veterinary technology and joined the Franklin veterinary team full-time after graduation in 2021. She is an avid soccer player and played at the collegiate level. Shannon interned at Canine New England in the physical therapy department. She had a special interest in large animals, especially horses while in school. She loves spending her time at Wingaersheek Beach in Gloucester, MA with her family (Mom, Dad, and two sisters). Shannon has a dog named Dustin, a cat named Ernest, and a turtle named Tortuga.
Kelsey
Certified Veterinary Technician, VTS (ECC)
Kelsey received her Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree from Becker College and has been part of the Franklin Veterinary Clinic team since 2019. Kelsey is also an ER nurse at Tufts V.E.T.S in Walpole. In her spare time, she likes to go hiking with her dog Rocky. Rocky is a rescue dog from Tennessee who also participates in nosework training. Nosework is a canine sport that involves the task of finding a target using scent. Kelsey loves to vacation in Ogunquit, ME and her favorite food is sushi.
Karen
Certified Veterinary Technician
Karen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Framingham State College and later received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Mount Ida College. She has been a valued member of the Franklin Veterinary Clinic team for many years, initially working with us in the early 2000s before taking a hiatus to raise her children. Karen rejoined the clinic in April 2015, now that her kids are teenagers. She has lived in Milford with her husband and two children for over 20 years. Karen shares her home with a sweet cat named Milo and enjoys listening to local bands and spending time at the beach in her spare time.
Zoë
Certified Veterinary Technician
Zoë has been part of the Franklin Veterinary Clinic team since 2017. With over a decade of experience in the veterinary field, she is a licensed veterinary technician. Her passion for animals began early, growing up on a family farm surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, ducks, chickens, and more. Zoë holds a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Conservation Biology from the University of Rhode Island. Before joining FVC, she worked as an outdoor educator, fostering youth environmentalism and sharing her love of nature. Outside of work, Zoë enjoys being a mom and spending time with her rescue hounds, Henry and Betty.
Tom
Certified Veterinary Technician
Tom is a native of Franklin. He graduated from Becker College in 2010 with degrees in Veterinary Technology and Veterinary Science. He passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam and is a Certified Technician. He has always had a love for all animals with a special interest in reptiles. He has experience with Wildlife after volunteering at the Eco-Tarium where he worked with exotic species and even helped train a polar bear! He has worked at the Franklin Veterinary Clinic since 2010. He is an animal caretaker and pet-sitter with 10 + years of experience. He enjoys helping people and their animals. In the near future, he will be heading to the Dominican Republic for his 3rd trip volunteering with Project Samana. He currently has a Leopard Gecko for a pet. He loves Dachshunds but has recently adopted a hound mix named Buddy!
Nichole
Certified Veterinary Technician
Nichole has been part of the Franklin Veterinary Clinic since 2003. Nichole graduated from Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School in the medical careers program. Nichole enjoys making bandanas and jewelry and donates the profit from the sales to various charities such as Autism Awareness, Project Samana, and Mass Vest-a-dog. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, baking, and reading. Nichole shares her home with her rescue cat named Milan.
Pam
Practice Manager
Pam is a valued member of the Franklin Veterinary Team, having joined the practice in 2001. A native of Franklin, she graduated from Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School with a focus on business and continued her education at Dean College and Northeastern University. She also holds the Certified Veterinary Business Leader certification and brings 13 years of experience in accounting and finance to her role. With a passion for health and wellness, Pam enjoys live music, beach outings, shopping, and spending time with her two children and close friends in her free time.
Dr. Jeremy Carignan
Veterinarian
Dr. Carignan is a 2024 graduate of Ross University where he earned his degree in veterinary medicine. Originally from Quebec Canada, Dr. Carignan’s love of hockey brought him to Brewster Academy in New Hampshire where he continued his academic studies and honed his hockey skills. After completing two years at Brewster Academy he attended St. Anselm College in New Hampshire and completed a degree in biology. Dr. Carignan has a special interest in surgery and internal medicine. Fun fact, Dr. Carignan’s first language is French!
Dr. Erin Harney
Veterinarian
Dr. Harney is a 2024 graduate of Ross University, where she earned her degree in veterinary medicine. She also graduated from UMass Amherst in 2020, where she studied animal sciences on a pre-vet track. Dr. Harney also has a special interest in internal medicine. Originally from Mansfield, Massachusetts, Dr. Harney is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed running track and playing soccer growing up. She adopted her dog, Poppy, from St. Kitts. Fun fact: Dr. Harney studied Irish step dance when she was younger!
Dr. Jeffrey Wesley
Veterinarian
Dr. Wesley earned his veterinary degree from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and became part of the Franklin Veterinary Clinic team in 2013. A Massachusetts native, he grew up in nearby Medway. A passionate Boston sports fan, Dr. Wesley enjoys playing volleyball in his free time. He is a proud father of two young boys and shares his home with two adorable cats, Loki and Phoebe.
Dr. Sara Gray
Veterinarian/Co-Medical Director/Owner
Dr. Gray, originally from Massachusetts, ventured south to pursue marine biology at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She furthered her education by earning her veterinary degree from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Joining the Franklin Veterinary Clinic in 2009, she became a part owner in 2018. Beyond her veterinary expertise, Dr. Gray excels as our Medical Director! In her spare time, she enjoys running and spending time with her husband, son, and their Labrador retriever, Hawkeye.
Dr. Daniel Castillo
Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Castillo and his family have called Franklin home since 1996. With a special interest in small animal medicine and surgery, he is also deeply involved in community affairs and international relief work. His proudest moment as a veterinarian was assisting the search and rescue dogs at Ground Zero after the 9/11 tragedy. During the COVID pandemic, amidst the busy hustle of seeing patients, Dr. Castillo found comfort in writing his memoir, “Barking Big: A Veterinarian’s Inspiring Story of Perseverance”
